An occupational health referral is an independent medical assessment. We provide you with a prognosis of an employee’s medical wellbeing so that you are guided to make the right business decision. The occupational health report can be requested for a range of health reasons such as:
- Long-term absence
- Is the employee's medical condition genuine
- Returning to work after agreed long-term absence [e.g. operation]
- Regular absence for short periods
- Under performing at work and an underlying medical condition may be suspected
- Recovering from an injury or accident
- Job role
- Equality Act issues
The employee in question is referred for an assessment with an Occupational Health Physician. A report will be issued to the manager who made the referral.
[Please note the process does not involve any treatment]
